Canon partners with Arteco to deliver streamlined and cost-effective security solutions

Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Arteco, a pioneer in Video Event Management Software (VEMS) for the security industry. The agreement, announced at Security Essen, will provide a powerful VMS offering and make Canon's entire range of high-quality network security cameras available to Arteco's customers.

The leading VEMS provider required a hardware partner that was easily adaptable and complemented the flexibility of its features to provide security solutions for all business sizes; from small businesses, to enterprise security operations. Arteco selected Canon as a partner due to its reputation within the security industry and the strength and ergonomics of its network camera product line.

Arteco's security package will be enhanced by integrating with Canon's full portfolio, offering superior image resolution, even in areas of low light, and a wide field of vision. The collaboration will extend Canon's reach into a wider market and provide customers with an ideal package to suit their surveillance needs across a number of key verticals including business parks, schools, hospitals, regional utilities, manufacturing, warehousing and hotels.

Arteco's VEMS simplifies the third-party integration process and is compatible with a wide range of input and output devices, meaning the security system can be extended to incorporate monitoring of a range of actions, such as opening gates and closing doors. A streamlined user interface will also help users to clearly monitor and identify critical and key events, such as trespassing and perimeter protection.

Giampaolo Sabbatani, CEO of Arteco, comments: "We are extremely thrilled with the opportunity of partnering with Canon Europe by integrating their high quality cameras with our competitive, cutting-edge VEMS, Arteco Logic NEXT. The quality of Canon's IP camera offering, its worldwide distribution, combined with its professional salesforce and consolidated reputation, make the company an ideal partner for our strategic offering to clients and partners alike around the world."

Julian Rutland, Planning and Strategy Director, Canon Europe, says, "Working with key partners to provide tailored security solutions and adapting them to meet the needs of our customers is central to our strategy. We are extremely pleased to announce our partnership with Arteco which will see us combine a simple, flexible and cost effective security option, offering a complete package for advanced video event management."

Canon uses its 70 years' experience as a high quality lens manufacturer to develop network cameras which deliver exceptional image quality and capture best in class images in all light conditions. Canon's range of network security cameras are simple to install and are supported by an extensive warranty programme.

Canon is showcasing its high quality advanced network cameras at Security Essen 2014, Hall 2.0 Stand 330 (23-26 September).
