SGI Dubai 2019 is primed to enable growth in print advertising

Over US$100 billion market grows especially well within the MENA region. Expo 2020 in Dubai is set to boost this industry even further.


SGI Dubai 2019 show, the biggest and most comprehensive exhibition catering not only to the signage and textile printing markets in the region and beyond, forecasts better than good growth of the advertising industry ahead of Expo 2020.
As global advertising revenue has reached $532 revenue in 2016, an increase of 7.1 percent, global brands increases spending since then and in the upcoming years, thanks to the global economy getting back on track and despite the current slight turmoil. Revenue from advertising accounted for 0.69 percent of global GDP in 2016, up from 0.66 percent in 2015. Collective power of the top 10 markets has dropped from 76 to 75. Four of the five highest growth regions were in Africa, with Ghana and Kenya having seen a growth of above 20 percent, according to IHS.
In 2016, online advertising accounted for almost $160 billion, or 30 percent of global revenue. Print advertising sits in third with $101 billion, followed by radio with 8.4 percent of the market and $47 billion in revenue.

Global advertising revenue is forecast to grow to $590 billion, with the strongest growth in double digits coming from Middle East and Africa, SGI Dubai 2019 is the exhibition that caters to media companies looking to participate in the upswing.
